Idaho petitioners file to put medical marijuana on the 2020 ballot

Idaho advocates filed an initiative to place medical marijuana on the 2020 ballot, which would potentially create a statewide MMJ retail market.

The Idaho Cannabis Coalition submitted initial signatures to start the process, and the Secretary of State now will review the initiative, according to Boise TV station KBOI.

The organizers will attempt to collect 55,057 signatures to put medical marijuana up to a vote next year.
